Today we were told about the new apple macs and then we all logged onto them in the suite and started to think about what else we needed to finalise before we actually started filming so, Emily created a filming schedule which stated what we needed to have completed by the end of each week in order for us to meet our deadline. Then we all started to upload it onto our blogs and we also added our storyboard onto our blogs. Within the second hour of our double lesson we decided that we should start to take our 'surveillance camera' photos so we left the computer suite and started to take some photos - we tried our best to make them look like CCTV photos by taking them from high angles and zoomed in etc. Finally, towards the end of the lesson we started to edit the photos so they look like they have been taken from CCTV by adding the date and time on them.

Overall, I think in the space of time we took and edited those photos, we done quite well and I am quite happy with our final product, these photos are going to be uploaded onto our blogs and will be used in the kidnapper's journal in our title sequence.

These photos have been taken to stick in thee kidnapper's journal. These are just the photos we have taken but now we are going on to edit them to make them look more like CCTV camera photos and edit them.

Here is the schedule our group is going to try and keep to in order to meet our deadline. We hope this will enable us to create the best possible title sequence we can.

Final Typology idea

This is our final idea for our typology for our title sequence. We agreed that it fits in well for our genre and film as the main character keeps a scrap book with lots of photos and cut-outs in it so we thought it best suited out of all the ones we looked at.

Planning - Production Brief

• Production Brief: To create the titles and opening of a new fiction film
• Project name: Seized
• Length: 90 secs - 2 mins
• Deadline: Friday 11th February
• Group Members and there rolls: Emily - Actor, editor. Daisy - Director, editor. Sophie - Camera woman, breathing sounds, editor. Sarah - Camera woman, editor.
• Brief overview of content: Mum and Daughter live alone as Dad left when Daughter was born. Mum finds a new boyfriend who is a police detective, however he is not getting any recognition at work. Because of this he decided to kidnap his girlfriends daughter as the daughter doesnt like him. By doing this he will solve the case himself and get more recognition from work. However, his girlfriend, the daughters mother finds out what is going on and tells the police which leads to the detective loosing his job and being sent to prision.
• Target audience: Both Genders 15+
• Possible scheduling publishing suggestions: December 2010
• How will you test that whether the product is successful? How will you check that it accomplishes the intended effect: We could produce a questionnaire about the ideas we have for our film and see the feedback we get, also we could produce a film trailer to see how much recognition the film gains.

• What generic codes and conventions will be operating in your text: We plan to use as many codes and conventions we can in our title sequence. We will show the details of all the important cast and crew, being presented in order of importance, the films title, intro to character type, info regarding mood and tone, info on genre, questions that the viewer find intriguing, patterns and type of editing that will be echoed in the remainder of the film and Mise-en-Scene and cinematoraphy that will be echoed or elaborated upon later in the film.

• Identify any resource constrains that might affect your production and your hopes for your product: I think the main thing we have to keep under control is the amount of time we use for our title sequence, this is because there is so much to do in a little time. To gain the equipment that we need shouldnt be a problem because we can get it all from school and all we need to film our title sequence is a video camera and tripod. I also dont think money will be an issue as we dont have to pay any money to use the areas we want to and some of the filming will take place in school.

Typography ideas for our Title Sequence.

This typeface is one that we looked at to use for our title sequence as it fits in with the concept of the girl being taken or 'disappearing'because the bottom of the text starts to fade.

This is another typeface we considered using as it looks like someone's writing butt looks quite eery at the same time and this one also fits in with the concept of our film/title sequence as the man is very observational towards the girl which gives slight suggestion towards the film. 

This text looks like it has scratches across it and gives off a 'tormented' look which suggests some action that may happen in the film. Also, could suggest some of the feelings felt by the characters in our film.
